THANK YOU for your patience and support while you navigate this new dining experience with is. We’re incredibly thankful for your patronage and appreciate your help to get back to “normal” as soon as possible!
This page will be updated as necessary.
Do you have heaters for outside dining?
Yes! Now that the weather is getting colder, we're doing our best to accommodate guests outdoors for as long as possible. We're also participating in Rhode Island Hospitality Association's #BYOBlanket campaign, so grab your coziest blanket and dine with us outside! You can learn more about the campaign here: https://www.rihospitality.org/RIHA-BYOBlanket. We sell cozy sweatshirts, too!
Are you accepting reservations?
We are not accepting reservations. Join us on our patio (weather permitting) on a first come, first serve basis!
Are dogs allowed on the patio?
As of June 1, we have decided to NOT allow dogs on our patio. When the state of Rhode Island moves to Phase 4, we hope to revisit this situation. Check back here or on our social media pages for updates!
Do I have to give my name and phone number when I come dine at O'Brien's Pub?
Yes. You will be asked to provide one person's contact information for the Rhode Island Department of Health in case of an outbreak. This log must be kept for 30 days.
Can I sit at the bar or walk up to the bar to order a drink?
Bar service is allowed as long as patrons are seated, and we have very limited bar seating outside. No service will be offered to standing patrons unless they are picking up takeout food. Customers can only sit at the bar if no one is working behind it or if there is a clear plastic barrier between the customers and the bartender.
Are your tables close together?
Our tables are 8ft apart and all offer partitions if that distance can't be accommodated.
Do you offer music or live entertainment?
Unfortunately, no. Live entertainment must be positioned 14ft from tables, and our outdoor space doesn't allow for that.
When do I have to wear a mask at O'Brien's?
You must wear a mask unless you're seated at your table. Walking to the bathroom, walking into/out of the restaurant and all other times patrons are standing, masks must be worn.
How many people can you seat at 1 table?
We can accommodate party sizes of 8 or less, however we have a limited amount of tables that seat this size.
What precautions do your employees take to ensure they are healthy and safe?
O'Brien's Pub requires daily temperature checks from all employees, mandatory wearing of masks at all times and constant sanitizing and washing of hands. We also keep a work log with employee contact information in case of an outbreak. Our tables, chairs and other high-tough surfaces are thoroughly cleaned before opening, after closing and in between customer visits. Hand sanitizer stations are available to all customers and employees, and our menus are disposable/sanitized/or offered as QR codes, easily accessed with a smartphone camera.
